On Saturday, July 12, the Green Dean Team had the good fortune and opportunity to meet and hang with Senator Richard Lugar from Indiana.  After touring a certified green home, the senator graciously sat down with Dean and answered a few questions about energy security and green building practices.  The exclusive interview will be airing very soon on GreenDeanTV!    Most people might be familiar with Senator Lugar's work and expertise on foreign policy and agricultural issues, but the six term senator is also a champion and advocate for energy security, energy conservation and green technology.  The Lugar Energy Initiative is a good read and provides information on his position regarding those issues.  It is refreshing to meet and talk with a senior senator that is concerned and interested with some of the same issues that we at Tangible Green are.  It is mind boggling to think of where the senator has been in his tenure and who he has met and conversed with.  He could easily ignore or not recognize these issues, but he has chosen to embrace them and be an international champion for them.  We would like to think that it is because of his hearty Midwestern values, but in reality it is because he is an intelligent man that is concerned about legacy and other's well being.
